Join the Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department for this year's Spring/Fall In-House Youth Baseball Leagues! Games will not be made up in the event of a weather cancellation. Practices will be held two times a week Monday-Saturday for the first 3 weeks. Partial attire will be included with the registration fee depending on the division. Please note, dates and dynamics for the program are subject to change as needed. Questions regarding this league can be directed to our Athletics Team.

*This league is designed for boys in High School during the late summer months after School District High School baseball. Games will be played against teams from surrounding communities and will be played mainly on Monday-Thursday in the evening with the possibility of Friday and Saturday night games. Players will receive a shirt, socks, and hat. Volunteer coaches are needed! Practices are held Monday-Thursday starting early May with games held June through July.

Registrations for the Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department's Youth In-House Baseball Leagues are accepted online at Yorkville.il.us/RegisterBaseball. Registrations are taken on a first come, first serve basis. A $10 late fee will be added to all registrations taken after the designated registration deadline as space allows. EQUIPMENT

A jersey, hat and socks are included with each registration for the Spring Youth In-House Baseball and T-Ball Leagues. A jersey and hat will be included with each registration for the Fall Youth In-House Baseball and T-Ball Leagues.

Coaches will be given catchers equipment, balls, bats and helmets to be utilized and shared amongst the team for the season. Each player should supply their own glove and cup.

SUGGESTED EQUIPMENT
The following items are suggested when registering for any Youth In-House Baseball League with Yorkville Parks and Recreation.

  • Baseball Pants
  • Protective cup for boys
  • Batting helmet
  • Cleats (No metal cleats allowed)
  • Bat 
    • Bats of all barrel sizes are allowed for each division except for the 3/4 Grade Division. Big barrel bats are allowed up to a maximum 2-5/8" barrel. Please ensure players have a 2-5/8" barrel bat or smaller for these leagues.

PAYMENT PLANS

Payment plans are available for Youth In-House Baseball Leagues which allows families to split their total registration fees into separate payments. Payments are charged automatically via a credit card provided during the registration process. Payment plan participants must register during the scheduled registration period in order to be eligible to participate. All payment plans are subject to the Yorkville Parks and Recreation Automatic Payment Agreement. Final payments must be made by the scheduled start date of each league in order to avoid suspension or withdrawal from the program. Please pay close attention to the credit card chosen for automatic payment during the registration process as our system DOES NOT automatically delete old or compromised credit cards.

BASEBALL/SOFTBALL LEAGUE UMPIRE OPPORTUNITY

The Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department is looking for qualified individuals age 14+ to officiate baseball or softball games. Applicants do not need to be patched/certified but should have a basic understanding of baseball and/or softball rules.
