Historical Marker Dedication (5:30pm)

In celebration of the Illinois Bicentennial (1818-2018), the City of Yorkville has recently installed a historical marker at the Van Emmon Activity Center (102 E Van Emmon Street, Yorkville) commemorating what was originally to be Illinois' northern state boundary line.  This historical marker was generously donated by Mary Alice Fellers and the Illinois State Historical Society.  We welcome you to join us on Saturday, October 13 at 5:30pm at the Van Emmon Activity Center as we dedicate this marker and acknowledge the significance the movement of this original boundary line played in history as well as thank Mary Alice Fellers and the Illinois State Historical Society for their generous donation and beautiful addition to the downtown.
