Youth/Adult Programs

The Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department partners with local agencies to hold skills development classes for youth and adults. These classes are held at the Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department (201 W Hydraulic Ave,Yorkville) throughout the year. These classes include computer courses, CPR and First Aid Courses, Baby Sitting Courses and much more.  For more information and a list of classes currently offered, please see the current catalog.

DIY Essential Oils

In this class you will learn how to make some everyday products using essential oils. This class will cover some of the basic essential oil education to start the to start the class for those with little experience. We will make a roller bottle blend, a sugar scrub, and a pillow spray for the participants to take home. 

Essential Oils 101

This class will provide the basic knowledge to those who are new to essential oils, and build upon knowledge for those who have minimal experience and would like to learn more. The class will go over a brief history of essential oils and how they are made. We will cover the top 10 most common oils and and how use and enjoy them safely. Participants will get the chance to smell and experience the oils, and will walk away from the class with a nice base of information on getting started using essential oils.
